Environment Conservation Responsibility

At CKL Africa Ltd, we are conscious of the environmental impact our business activities are making.  We are therefore committed to protecting our environment by actively and responsibly managing our resources and taking deliberate steps to improve our environment. We endeavour to engage in demonstrated environmental best practices that reduce our company’s environmental footprint over and above legal requirements.

We are measuring, monitoring and reporting on our use of resources with the ultimate goal of being resource neutral and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

At our new mineral plant in Tatu, we are using solar as a renewable source of energy.  With climate change, we are aware of our responsibility to protect lives by investing in safe, resilient and sustainable infrastructure to promote resilience in times of disasters associated with climatic conditions.

On environmental conservation efforts, our Eco Care Programme propagates quality tree and fruit seedlings. We closely collaborate with our key strategic implementing partners who support in site identification and actual fruit and tree growing.
