Our Eco Care Programme, supports tree growing at institutions of learning as well as mentoring young environmentalists who participate at their respective environmental clubs by equipping them with skills and knowledge on various environmental conservation related topics and practices.
Our Eco Care Programme has engaged the following learning institutions:
In 2020, 6,952 tree seedlings were planted through close collaboration with Henry Wanyoike Foundation and Miti Alliance Ltd in 53 schools in Kajiado, Nandi, Nairobi, Machakos, Nakuru & Kiambu Counties.
At Kinyanjui Road PrimarySchool in Dagoretti Constituency, Nairobi County, the school compound has over 600 mature tree varieties grown over the period of 2013-2018. Through the School Greening Programme, CKL Africa Ltd mentors over 80 environmental club members at the school.
In 2018, 2,400 assorted tree varieties were planted in Kabiria Primary School and Beth Mugo High School in Dagoretti Constituency, Nairobi County. CKL School Greening Programme mentors over 50 environmental club members in these two schools.
At New & Old Kihumbuini Primary Schools, 70 assorted tree varieties have grown to maturity.
