Our Eco Care Programme boasts nutrition by providing early maturing fruit seedlings to institutions serving the needs of the most vulnerable community members.
Here are examples of our engagement through our Eco Care Programme:
In the years 2020 and 2018, 38 grafted Hass Avacado seedlings distributed to Thogoto Home for the Aged have grown to maturity and the community is enjoying the avocado harvest. CKL continues to provide technical support to utilize the benefits of the established orchard.
In 2019, New Life Home Trust- Kisumu Home received 21 fruit varieties while in 2017; Nakuru Home received 29 fruit varieties. Despite limited space at Nyeri Home, CKL continues to provide technical support to grow pawpaw fruits and vegetables on potted bags.
In 2017, Tumaini Children’s Home received 150 varieties of fruit seedlings including Guava and orange fruit seedlings. In 2013, Kabete Rehabilitation School received 108 fruit varieties with some fruits reaching maturity. The mentorship program for 27 young pupils is ongoing.
Deworming only works when it's done right and that starts with proper dosing!
Giving too little = worms survive and build resistance.
Giving too much = waste of product and risk of overdose. Let’s protect our herds by always dosing based on your animal’s weight not guesswork! https://x.com/CKLAfricaltd/status/1984269070087156031/photo/1
