Composition
Active Ingredients:
Mastijet Forte has a combination of the following antibiotics.
- Tetracycline 200 mg
- Neomycin 250 mg
- Bacitracin 2000 IU
- Prednisolone 10 mg
Dosage and administration
One injector (8gm) per infected quarter. This may be repeated after 24 hours in severe cases with a maximum of four treatments per quarter
Indications
Mastijet® Forte is indicated for the treatment of mastitis in cows, including severe mastitis caused by susceptible micro-organisms.
Usage
Benefits
- The combination of antibiotics ensures a broad spectrum of activity covering all the commonly occurring mastitis-causing bacteria.
- The ingredient Prednisolone decreases inflammatory reactions and promotes a decrease in the somatic cell count and a rapid return to milk production.
Storage
Store between 2 °C to 8 ºC. Protect from light.
Withdraw
- The milk from treated quarters must not be used for human consumption during the treatment period and for 8 milkings following the last infusion.
- Milk from untreated quarters must also be withheld during treatment and for one milking after last infusion.
- Following the last infusion, the meat should not be used for human consumption within 2 days, the udder tissue within 14 days, and the organs within 42 days.
